Most of her career was spent in Havana, Cuba—at the Hermanos Ameijeiras Clinical Surgical Hospital in Galicia. She also combined stints in Havana as an assistant professor with stints in Mexico at the Medical-Surgical Retina Unit.

Conjunctival epithelial autotransplantation for primary pterygium.

Surgical treatment of epimacular membranes.

Diabetic retinopathy, among others. Co-author of several books on Orbital Pathology published in 1997, 1999, and 2002, and Diabetic Retinopathy , published in 2006 by Edika med.
